Activity description:

Learners will have an increased knowledge of:
- Common Supplements and best practices on educating patients w/Diabetes
- 2024 SOC for Nutrition Therapy
- Definitions, diagnosis and treatment information for several types of atypical diabetes.
- Current standards for appropriate foot care in the diabetes population.
- Advanced insulin pumps and be able to apply new knowledge to benefit individuals who are using them.
- How to have important conversations about sexual health with PWD

Target audience: This activity is designed for individuals or groups of diabetes care and education specialists including Nurses, Dietitians, Pharmacists, and other health care providers interested in staying up to date on current practices of care for people with diabetes and other related conditions.

Requirements for successful completion: For successful completion, participants are required to attend the full activity, and complete and submit the program evaluation at the conclusion of the educational event. Your Statement of Credit will be issued upon submission of the evaluation form. Pharmacists must provide their date of birth (MMDD) and NABP ePID to receive credit. Pharmacist learners who fail to provide this information will not receive credit for this activity. Please check your NABP profile within 45 days of this activity to make sure your credits were uploaded. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists: To satisfy the requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers (http://www.cbdce.org).
