Returns and Refunds Policy - Individuals and Institutions

Please follow this policy to return publications (books) to the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES)

1. Eligibility for Returns and Refunds

ADCES cannot accept, refund, or reimburse the following under any circumstance:

  • E-books
  • Damaged or defective booksnot reported to ADCES within 30 business days of invoice date.
  • Books in non-saleable condition (eg, pencil, ink or highlighted marked-up pages, stains, torn pages, spine or cover damaged)
  • Reduced price books, books out-of-print or end-of-life
  • Any shipping or third-party handling fees

ADCES will accept the following:

  • Books received damaged or defective due to ADCES’s fault and reported within 30 business days of the invoice date.
  • Books in the original packaging; books unused, unmarked, and undamaged

Include a copy of your invoice or proof of purchase date with your return.

2. Return Process:

Contact ADCES’s Member Services at 800-338-3633, weekdays, 8:30 am to 5 pm CT, or email [email protected] to request a return authorization. Member Services will provide you with instructions on how and where to ship your return.

3. Refund or Exchange:

  • Include a copy of your invoice with your return.
  • E-books cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • After your purchase is received and the condition is verified, we will process your refund or exchange.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method 5 to 7 business days after receiving the return.
  • If you prefer to exchange your publication for another publication, please specify the replacement publication when you make your return request. Exchanges are subject to availability and the customer is responsible for any shipping fees

4. Shipping:

  • Each individual is responsible for the shipping costs to return the publication. If the return is due to an error/issue caused by ADCES or the publication is defective upon arrival.
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping service that includes insurance. This will ensure the items are safely returned and received in our warehouse facility.
