Showcase the value of your DSMES services. If you don’t, who will?

We’ve developed a member-only toolkit to help you effectively communicate the value of your services to three main audiences: administrators, prescribers and people living with diabetes in your community.

We’ve divided this into modules. Each one includes diabetes care and education specialists sharing their perspectives, success stories, lessons learned and resources.

Overview & Core Resources

It starts with our core documents, a published paper on how the DCES improves quality outcomes and a compilation of current research supporting your value. We also include an ADCES24 session where three doctors share their suggestions.

Impacting Administrators' View of DSMES

There’s an art to talking with administrators. You have to speak their language, lead with the data and create alliances with other departments. This module covers all that and more.

Generating Referrals

If you don’t have referrals, you don’t have a program. So many DCESs have figured out the “secret sauce.” In this module, you’ll hear stories of success, get lots of suggestions, and also learn about pitfalls to avoid.

Reaching the Community

There are so many ways to reach prospective patients/participants. It’s all about connections you make in the community, events you attend, and often your relationships with your marketing communications staff.
