Description
The American Diabetes Association's (ADA) "Standards of Care in Diabetes" includes the ADA's current clinical practice recommendations and is intended to provide the components of diabetes care, general treatment goals and guidelines, and tools to evaluate quality of care. This 90-minute webinar will review the most recent updates to the standards of care.
Learning Outcome
The diabetes care team will be able to identify updates and articulate recommendations from the 2025 ADA Standards of Care that can be applied to their role within the diabetes care team.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
-- Discuss changes in ADA guidelines as it relates to use of diabetes technology in newly diagnosed, type 2 diabetes, and pregnancy
-- Discuss new treatment algorithm for type 2 diabetes with a focus on comprehensive metabolic health including defining MASH/MASLD
-- Discuss staging and screening guidelines for type 1 diabetes
-- Discuss new guidelines for screening for diabetes distress, anxiety and disordered eating behaviors
