The largest mail-order supplier of blood glucose monitoring supplies under the Medicare competitive bidding program (CBP), Arriva Medical, closed its doors on December 1, 2017. Because Arriva supplies a majority of blood glucose monitoring supplies for the CBP and is the only CBP supplier of OneTouch, their void in the marketplace could be devastating to people with diabetes, as they may not be able to get the supplies they need in a timely fashion and will need to find alternative suppliers.
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Guidance
AADE has spoken to CMS about the issue and they recommend following these guidelines to help people with diabetes (PWD):
