New legislation, signed into law by President Biden on December 29, 2022, extends the public health emergency flexibilities that have allowed Accredited and Recognized DSMES programs to furnish Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes care and education via telehealth and receive reimbursement for those services through the end of 2024.
