Connect with your Tribe at AADE18

Feb 28, 2018, 14:22 PM

Donna RyanBy: AADE President Donna Ryan, MPH, RN, RD, CDE, FAADE
Regional Director, Community Health and Outreach
Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, FL

Every year, I look forward to the AADE Annual Conference. It’s my main annual learning event where I update my knowledge, feed my soul with new and amazing learnings, and energize my professional career. It’s where my ‘tribe’ is—you, the many and talented diabetes educators and practitioners that are passionate and dedicated.

I hope you can join us this year at AADE18 in Baltimore’s beautiful Inner Harbor from Friday, August 17 to Monday, August 20. I am especially excited for this year’s meeting!

We have some fabulous speakers and topics that will raise the bar for diabetes learning and excellence. We’ve added tracks that address your needs, including pharmacology, pathophysiology, behavior sciences, technology, delaying type 2 diabetes, new models of care, and the AADE7 Self-Care BehaviorsTM. To help you get the most out of the conference, this year your full registration includes access to audio recordings* of most sessions!

Read more in my latest president’s letter in the March issue of AADE in Practice magazine, or click here.

You can register for AADE18 here. Be sure to check out all our tools to help you talk to your employer about attending AADE18, save on airfare and transportation costs, and book a hotel.

I would also like to take a few moments to thank all the AADE members who have made this annual conference the beacon of learning it has become. Thank you to Committee Chair Marilyn Cox, PharmD, BCPS, CDE and thank you to all our AADE18 committee members:
