Lilly Announces $35 Co-Pay for Individuals With/Without Insurance

By Kate Thomas, ADCES Director of Advocacy
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lilly announced the Lilly Insulin Value Program. The new program allows individuals both with and without insurance to fill their monthly prescription of Lilly Insulin for $35. This program is effective as of today, April 7, and includes most Lilly insulins.
Individuals interested in this program should call the Lilly Diabetes Solution Center at (833) 808-1234. Lilly has also encouraged people to contact the Lilly Diabetes Solution to learn about additional affordability options, including free insulin for people no or minimal income, options for those with Medicare Part D plans who are not eligible for a co-pay card, and those with an urgent need for insulin.
Overall, we are hopeful that this $35 co-pay program will help people with diabetes impacted by COVID-19 lower their out-of-pocket costs for insulin. For additional information on cost-savings resources for insulin and non-insulin diabetes medications, visit DiabetesEducator.org/Affordability.
