As the saying goes, don’t leave money on the table!

These are wise words when it comes to streamlining your practice to leverage the initiation of Continuous Glucose Monitoring technologies with your patients and guiding their use of the technology to optimize glycemic management. To maximize reimbursement, you’ll need to implement a system to code services correctly and optimally. Yes, monetize your practice’s CGM services!

You’ll gain plenty of knowledge and insights at the two jammed-packed days of the ADCES 2021 Diabetes Technology Conference and hear from the most experienced and in-the-know speakers in the field.

But IMHO (in my humble opinion) the most valuable session you attend may be towards the end of the two-day program (as they say, save the best for last!) - Monetize CGM: Maximize Your Practice’s Coding and Reimbursement. My colleague, Jennifer Okemah, MS RD, BC-ADM, CDCES, Owner of Salute Nutrition, PLLC, a private practice based in Seattle that focuses on helping people with diabetes optimize their diabetes devices and data; will provide you with the nuts and bolts of how to set up your CGM services to take advantage of ALL currently available codes to maximize reimbursement whether from private health plans or Medicare.

Okemah will share examples of how primary care practices can put a workflow and procedures in place to utilize the services of different clinicians. Practices may consider imbedding a diabetes care and education specialists (DCES) in their practice or referring to DCESs to initiate and manage your patients who initiate and use CGM technology. Another practice may want to utilize nurse practitioners and/or other primary care providers to provide the CGM services. A variety of successful models exist.

So don’t book an early flight on Saturday. Stay until the very end of this ADCES 2021 Diabetes Technology Conference. You’ll want to soak up every experts’ words and wisdoms, especially Okemah’s.
