New Ideas Generated on the AADE11 Exhibit Floor
Aug 6, 2011, 00:00 AM
I am starting to get depressed!! AADE11 is winding down. I have really enjoyed the sessions and I just LOVED the Exhibit Hall. I think that is where I find the most useful immediate information for my patients. The sessions are excellent and I have lots of notes and lists of things I want to do when I get back to worrk on Monday - BUT I need to talk to someone about those potential changes and ideas--like my team or the administration. But, the info I gathered on the Exhibit Floor, I can start sharing with patients right away.
I espiciailly like all the new meal ideas - many of my patients do not cook and so they eat a lot of fast food. A few do ask for recipes, but most rely on going out to eat. There are some really tasty new prepared meals as well as some of the old stand-bys like Campbell and Healthy Choice which have new formulations. I saw lots of new low Carb/low fat snack ideas I plan to take back and share with my patients. Some of the newer ice creams were very tasty (I went back 2 or 3 times just to make sure). I collected lots of brochures and business cards that I plan to organize and make a resource sheet for my patients so they can take the sheet with them when they go shopping. It does get boring eating the same old thing every day!
I also found new syringes, new meters, new shoes, neuropathy meds, and ID bracelets in the booths. I enjoy talking to the owners and/or developers of new products who saw a need and filled it.
