Description

Physical activity and exercise are beneficial for people with diabetes. Being active is one of the ADCES7 Self-Care Behaviors™. However, when a CDCES recommends physical activity or exercise to a person who has diabetes-related cardiometabolic conditions and complications, there are specific precautions that need to be considered. This presentation will provide some tips and recommended physical activities for CDCES to better partner with people with diabetes who have the following comorbidities: cardiovascular diseases, nerve diseases, eye diseases, kidney diseases, and orthopedic limitations.
