Description

While National Diabetes Prevention Program access has grown nationwide, some areas and populations have not had sufficient access to T2D prevention programs. This session presents lessons learned from lifestyle change programs tailored specifically to recruit, enroll, and retain Black Men in the program. Partnerships and the implementation experience of lifestyle change programs and the Healthy Men of Omega, the Omega Psi Fraternity, and 100 Black Men of America will be discussed. The lifestyle change program coach for The Black Women's Health Imperative online space, The Men's Room, will discuss program features and his experience facilitating the program.
