Description
This is the second webinar in our 4-part series, "Mastering Diabetes Devices: Integrating CGM, Insulin Pumps and Automated Insulin Delivery Into Your Clinical Practice".
This session will focus on CGM and how to interpret data from CGM and use the data to inform clinical decision making and facilitate discussions between healthcare professionals and persons with diabetes to optimize diabetes management. We will provide a brief overview of the available CGMs and how they work, as well as review a few case examples using PANTHER Tools to support care.
Learning Outcome
The overall goal is to learn how to interpret CGM data and how to use that data to support clinical decision making.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
-- Describe the basics of CGM and identify the CGM options available in the United States.
-- Understand the PANTHER Program approach to data interpretation: Big Picture (Identify Patterns), Small Picture (Understand the reasons), Plan (Identify solutions and make a plan).
-- Work through examples using the PANTHER Tool as a guide for available CGM systems.
