What is your hospital doing to facilitate patients’ use of insulin pumps during their hospital stay? Are you providing continuing education to staff to enhance the effectiveness of patient pump utilization and quality of care? Is the education mandated for any particular staff?

So, when you get up in the morning, what hat do you put on (figuratively)? Is it your nursing, pharmacist, physical therapist, etc. hat? Or, is it your diabetes educator hat?

Perhaps the concept of weight loss as the primary goal is flawed. Even though there is efficacy for weight loss, the long term success rate is abysmal. Perhaps the goal should be more basic.
