Why do you love being an ADCES member?
I love having the opportunity to network with multidisciplinary professionals, as well as take part in Educational opportunities, learn about Cutting-edge technology, and obtain CEUs. Membership is an opportunity to serve my fellow colleagues as a volunteer in the organization.
What is your favorite part of being a diabetes care and education specialist?
The best part of being a DCES is being able to help persons with diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases live well.
Top 5 ADCES resources/programs?
The ADCES annual conference, ADCES in Practice, The Huddle podcast, and the Journal and webinars.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a new diabetes care and education specialist or someone considering the profession?
You are not going to regret it one bit! Becoming a DCES was the best professional decision I've ever made, and I only wish I'd have done it sooner.
