Why do you love being a member?
I am a proud member of ADCES. This is an organization filled with those who care about people with diabetes and who are experts in working alongside them toward the next step in their optimal health journey.
What is your favorite part about being a diabetes care and education specialist?
I can participate in someone else’s personal health journey.
Top ADCES resources/programs?
Other members, being a board member of my local state ADCES and the CEU and collaboration and support it provides and especially the ADCES conference! It has always been a personal and professional goal of mine to attend this esteemed conference and it came to fruition in 2022! I can’t wait to attend again!
What is one piece of advice you would give to a new diabetes care and education specialist or someone considering the profession?
This is a caring and compassionate group of professionals that I am privileged and honored to work with. I am inspired by their dedication and commitment to strive for excellence while maintaining personal attentiveness. The resources available help keep me updated with the latest technology and best practices.
